The first sentence in the book you're reading

On a very hot day in August of 1994, my wife told me she was going down to the Derry Rite Aid to pick up a refill on her sinus medicine presciption -- this is stuff you can buy over the counter these days, I believe. Bag of Bones by Stephen King

Do you keep a book list?

Softwarewise I can recommend the collectorz software. The price is reasonable and it's a lifesaver when it comes to huge book collections. I wouldn't know what to do without it.

    Mr. Darcy or Rhett Butler????

Which book exactly ? As far as I know there is the one by Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice, then there is this whole Darcy series: Darcy's Story, Darcy's Daughters, Diary, Darcy & Elizabeth and so on. :D

    Mr. Darcy or Rhett Butler????

Uhm.... never read anything of both of them but I saw them on TV. Judging from the movies I'd prefer Matthew Macfadyen over Clark Gable anytime. Both are different characters and I have a hard time to compare them. Maybe it's time to pick up the books ? !

    Stephen King

I thought that was obvious. :D

Movie classics you've never seen, but feel you should have

I always thought I should have seen In Cold Blood. Then I tried, fell asleep twice but finally made it to the end. It's just a bad movie.

Who are your favorite mystery writers?

Patricia Cornwell up until Blow Fly from the Kay Scarpetta series. I think the series cracked when her death boyfriend suddenly reappeared. I read the Andy Brazil series and wouldn't say it was that great but not bad either. The new series, I was hoping there won't be a continuation, Win Ganaro...

I like the older works much more than the recent ones: Salem's Lot (I watched the movie as a child and it scared the *beep* out of me. Later I loved the book just as much.) The Stand (There were a few thing I didn't like but overall it's one of those books never forgot) Rose Madder and...
