    Peoples Attitudes About Reading:

When we read A Midsummer Night's Dream I was really putting emotion into my voice as I read and most of my classmates thought it was a dumb thing to do, those monotone readers!

    Peoples Attitudes About Reading:

Perhaps our fast-paced culture finds reading takes too much time away from all the other things we could be doing on our electronic gadgets. Why should people read when they could be Twittering trivial information or watching television, for example? We obviously don't have enough time in the...

    Children's books that you hate/detest/despise

The only book that comes to mind which I despise is The Amber Spyglass. I found myself bored by it despite my best efforts to read to the end. Yeah, it just wasn't going to happen. A pity because I liked the earlier books, although The Golden Compass much more so than The Subtle Knife.

    How long?

An average book of 350 pages or thereabouts can take me about three days to read. It also depends on interest because that determines the speed and determination to read. Although I have some thick books that I've been reading off and on for several months now. It's usually the kind of thing...

When to give up on a book

Can't handle tales of the Third Age, you guys need to steer clear of The Silmarillion! ;) I liked The Hobbit the first time I read it, but I loved it during my second reading.
