    Twilight

I loved the story. But, I think that's because I loved Edward. The writing wasn't all that great, and after the second book, everything got very anti-climatic. Great idea for a story, but I definitely feel like it could have been written a bit better. Don't get me wrong, I've read all 4...

    Jeff Lindsay: Darkly Dreaming Dexter

Holy crap. Did not know this was a book. I am so stoked now. Thanks guys for introducing me to these books!

    Gregory Maguire: Wicked

Update: Read Son of A Witch. Eh. It was alright. Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister was just sad.

Alice Sebold: The Lovely Bones *spoilers*

This book was recommended to me by a friend, and I loved it. I found that I couldn't put it down. I love the style of writing, and the overall idea for the book.

Wally Lamb: I Know This Much Is True

I guess I just didn't get into it as much as everyone else. It was alright, but definitely not my favorite book by Wally Lamb by a longshot. I thought that parts of the story just drug on and on. It will be going to my "donate to charity" pile.

    Disagree with ending?

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. Twilight fans know it was so completely anti-climatic. I liked it until the end, but the ending ruined the whole book.

    Charlaine Harris

That's great! Be sure to preorder your copy of the 9th Sookie Stackhouse book, it' comes out on May 5th. And trust me, you won't be upset with the other books. They're just as great!

    Recently Purchased/Borrowed

I just pre-ordered the new Sookie Stackhouse book, as well as the new Aurora Teagarden book...both by the wonderful Charlaine Harris. I'm so excited about them! This lady puts out books like, well, like it's her job. *lol* I also got What's A Ghoul To Do?, a series based on a ghost hunter...

    Michael Crichton- Timeline

I didn't think it was boring at all. Perhaps the first few chapters are a bit dry, due to all the explaining of things that are scientific. But, once the action starts taking place it's a great read. I'd try it again if I were you...just to see. :)

What kind of reader are you?

I read every night before I go to sleep. It's kind of like my unwinding habit from a long day. Because every day is a long one in my book. *lol* I read at work if we're slow, and at home on the weekends normally also.

    Book Shelf Or Shelve Books?!

I keep everything that I enjoy. If I have duplicates (which happens quite often, as people buy me books as gifts), or a book that I wasn't really enthralled with, I will either pass it along to a friend or donate it. But, 9 times out of 10, I keep them. I have built in book shelves in my...

Which books did you read in March?

A Fool and His Honey by Charlaine Harris Foolishly Forgotten Americans by Michael Farquhar I mostly spent March re-reading. These were my only two new reads.

    Mickey Mantle Biographies?

Just wondering if anyone had read any of these, and had any suggestions as to which ones are good reads. I'm also looking for Roger Maris biographies. Can you tell I watched 61* this weekend? :whistling:

    Favorite Character in Harry Potter

Gosh, it's hard to pick a favorite character... Bookwise I think I would have to go for Ron Weasley. He's the ultimate sidekick, never backs down, and always has Harry's back. Even in the 7th book when he left for a bit, he came back. Moviewise I would definitely have to say Luna Lovegood or...

    Mr. Darcy or Rhett Butler????

I'm smack in the middle of Pride and Prejudice right now, so I can't really give my opinion as of yet...though I do fancy Rhett Butler quite a bit, and it will take a strong showing on Mr. Darcy's part to knock him out of the ring, so to speak. *lol* :)

    75 questions for fantasy writers

I second that notion. ^^^ I'd read a ten book long series if it was worth it, and I completely got lost in the story. I mean, hello, I've read Harry Potter (and I do know that some people do not consider that to be a great work of fantasy literature, but I love it) at least four times from...

Trying to find a fantastic fantasy book that isn't part of a series

Oh gosh, I'd forgotten I loved these books! The Last Unicorn was my favorite movie as a child, and I read the book when I was 23 and still loved the story. And also, A Fine and Private Place was such a good read. Peter S. Beagle has a way with words, that's for sure. :)

    Do you remember...?

I remember one of my middle school teachers reading Tuck Everlasting, and I loved it. I love to hear people reading aloud, especially my parents. Their voices were so soothing when they were reading aloud. I don't have children yet, but when I do, I will definitely read aloud to them...
