I remember reading this my sophomore year of high school, and I remember liking it. I think I should pick it up again and give it another go...just to make sure I liked it. *lol*
I'm about to pre-order a few books by Charlaine Harris that are due to come out in May. But aside from those, I recently bought a Stephen King book at the grocery store. It's called Stephen King Goes to The Movies, and it's five of his books that have been made movies, as well as a little...
*lol* Thanks for the laugh. It looks like you have 2 recruits to share your opinion. I did enjoy The Hobbit...I do have to make that confession. But the others were too drenched in detail for me to sort out. ;)
I don't know that I could read anything else by her, and not be thinking of Harry Potter the whole time. The same reason that I haven't read anything else that Stephenie Meyer has written (outside of Twilight).
I've only read a few fanfic things regarding Harry Potter, and they weren't even about the main characters, which I liked. I don't like for people to write about Harry, it bothers me for some reason. *lol*
But, I do believe that most of the fanfic pieces are not very good, but entertaining.
Gosh, it's hard to remember that far back...

I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in one sitting, because I could not stand not knowing if Harry lived or died. It took me about 12 and a half hours to finish. But, it was so worth that 12 and a half hours of rainy Sunday.
Oil by Upton Sinclair. I saw the movie...There Will Be Blood, and my boss offered me the book to read. Not only were they completely different stories, but I just could not get into the book. It took me ages to read.
I cried like a little kid when I read this book. The last 100 pages or so had me in tears. I didn't cry during the movie though...maybe it was because it was set in different time periods, and it just didn't feel the same to me.
I read Ginger by Ginger Rogers, and it was pretty good. I tend to read just biographies though, and not autobiographies. Pretty much anything I can find at Barnes & Noble.
I think that Pure Murder by Corey Mitchell was pretty scary, in that it's a true story and happened not too far (like yards) from where I work.
I also think that any book by John Saul is scary, my personal favorite being Suffer the Children. It and Pet Cemetery by Stephen King scared me so...
