There's a great application on Facebook called the Visual Bookshelf. It's how I keep track of everything that I've ever read. Though, now that I think about it, I should probably keep a handwritten list also...because I'm a list maker...
I am at the zoo with my cousin Dudley, and my terrible aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon. I just let an boa constrictor escape by making the glass vanish.
I don't think I've ever cried harder during a book than I did with Green Mile. I still haven't seen the movie, because I don't want to cry again! *lol* And I'm kind of reading Shawshank...it's my bathtime reading right now.
I love to read in bed. I have a stack of favorites by my bed to get me to sleep. Right now I'm rotating between Wicked, Lonesome Dove, and Pride and Prejudice. I can read at work sometimes, so I save my newer books for that, and stick to the favorites at nighttime.
I buy all my books from Amazon. I don't like borrowing, because I love to add to my collection, which my husband thinks is a waste of space. Not so much of a waste when you need something to read, now is it? *lol*
I read somewhere, can't remember the source, that after the 3rd book (Prisoner of Azkaban), Rowling stopped writing different versions, because she felt like it was unfair to her American readers that wanted to experience Harry in his "natural habitat."
I am completely in love with J.K. Rowling, and the places that her wild imagination took us Potter-Lovers. In the Deathly Hallows, I felt that there were parts I could have done without. I would have liked if the trio didn't camp quite so much, because after the tenth time, it felt like...
I have read this book three different times, and find that I like it more each time. Believable? I don't think so. Is time travel really as easy as he makes it seem like? Not in my simple mind. However, he writes so that even I (the math/science stupid) could completely understand. But...
Ice Cold Grave was good also, IMO. Not my favorite. Though, it was not my favorite because of the pairing off of people, not because of the story line, which was great. I fell like Harper should have made better personal choices in the pages of this story.
Finally! I've found people that read Charlaine Harris!! IMO the Harper Connelly series is the most interesting...in that it's weird and strange. But I am in love with all of her works, especially the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. If you haven't read those, then please please do.
Pure Murder by Corey Mitchell was a great true crime book. Graphic in some parts, but a tear jerker for sure. It happened here in Houston, so it hits close to home for me.
I think the only one I actually enjoyed was SOTL. The other three I just could not like, for some reason. Hannibal I know I didn't like because the ending was not feasible. It wouldn't have happened that way, IMO. And Hannibal Rising I just didn't like, at all.
