Life without any entertainment would be pretty drab, and reading is one of my favorite sources of entertainment. I have...
It is one of my all-time favorite book series but I had no desire to see the movie. It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing that translates to the big screen.
I never judge a book by any movie based on said book.
I think some people can be scared by a good horror book. Unfortunately I don't think I am one. I mean, I have read some King books that had parts that creeped me out a bit or had some spooky scenes, but I never got "scared". But even horror movies don't scare me, other than the occasional...
I am thinking he was hoping that this personal touch, along with the mention of our good friend "Rebecca", would somehow convince us we know him and thus should trust him and we would thus have no reason to look at how many posts he has. I wonder if such an approach ever works.
I guess from a psychology perspective they would be interesting. And I know completely normal people who enjoy them. Of course I know completely normal people who rubberneck at car accidents also. :)

It will take less than 10 seconds. I went to take it and there is only one question. When I answered that one question it said thanks for taking the questionnaire. Is there only supposed to be one question?

Thanks, beer good. You bring up excellent points. And you are right, plenty of publishers out there are already making audio books of public domain classics. To compete I would need a niche, such as going for the more obscure tites or doing the popular ones in a different manner. I really do...
Alright, I have been listening to a lot of audiobooks this past year. I really enjoy them when my eyes are busy with something else. I have been buying them from itunes or Audible.com. I realize many free ones from the public domain are available at LibriVox but I find the quality touch and...
People really say that to you??? Man, maybe the times really have changed. I graduated high school in '93 and I read all the time in school. I don't ever remember being ridiculed for it. I got a few comments when I was reading The Stand that amounted to things like "Holy crap that is a big...
That's why people watch it and that is why the networks keep making them. People like eye candy and CSI is full of eye candy. Even the science is eye candy as it has no resemblance to real science. But all the lights sure are pretty.
And most of the music we hear on the radio, especially...
