"Hitchhiker's Guide"
"Freddy and Fredricka" by Mark Helprin
Almost anything by Christopher Moore
And my personal favorite, which I didn't see anyone else mention, anything by Tom Robbins
I loved The Haunting of Hill House and the short story The Lottery.
I have We Have Always Lived in the Castle on my bookshelves TBR.
Has anyone read Life Among the Savages? Is it any good?
The Birthday of the World and Other Stories by Ursula Le Guin :stars5:
The last story alone, entitled Paradises Lost, merits this book the five stars. Beautiful, thoughtful (and thought-provoking) writing.

Wuthering Heights...

The Matter of Seggri, a short story by Ursula Le Guin

The Farseer Trilogy
The Liveship Trader Trilogy
The Tawny Man Trilogy
The Rain Wilds Trilogy (not completed yet)
Contrary to what some may say, the series should be read in this order. If you are paying attention while reading, you will know why. :)
There is nothing...
The Ivory and the Horn by Charles De Lint :stars3:

If it takes a genius to understand the answers, and the genius cannot explain those answers so that I understand, on whose authority should I trust the genius' understanding of the answers as correct?
I received two Xmas gifts early, $25 gift cards, one for Borders, one for Amazon.
Here is what I ordered::D
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough
Tess of the D'Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy
Beauty by Robin McKinley
The Worm Ouroboros by E.R. Eddison
The...
