Interesting, as I read this book 20 years ago for my high school English class and found it incredibly boring back then.
Big Whiskey and the Grue Grux King is an awesome album. I am looking forward to your thoughts on Porcupine Tree's The Incident. I find it to be an album that improves on multiple hearings.
Another great album. I would rate it above the new one from the Dave Matthew's Band.

The best out of this list was The Amber Spyglass, and I would only give that about 4 stars.
I understand your frustration. I am not a church goer. I wouldn't even call myself a Christian, although I do find the Bible to be compelling if taken as an allegory, but I find anyone that is convinced that they know what is right for other people to be not only frustrating, but sometimes...
