Sherlock Holmes: The Breath of God by Guy Adams - 7/10
A fun and engaging tale in which Sherlock Holmes meets up with a couple of classic paranormal literature's key characters. Rewarding and fun read, short and worth dipping into.
I just can't be bothered to see this film, despite being a horror film. I gave up with those sorts of films after a friend and I watched Hostel one night, years ago, thinking it might a slasher type film and it was just horrible, horrible stuff. I can't really do torture-porn in films. As far a...
I found Ancient Images quite a lot of fun to read, and very well written at times. Campbell definitely knows how to navigate this horror stuff certainly. That said, this one does lose it a couple of times as it progresses deeper in, and toward the end it's definitely flaking a bit and that...
Article is here. It's nothing we don't already know, but it's still fairly tragic (but unavoidable, really) and a fair amount of data compiled together in one place.
I honestly don't see any need to hold back the decline artificially.

Isn't it just v. creepy indeed! A few friends I've spoken to who've seen it think it's one of the scarier films of recent years, in terms of genuine creepiness/atmosphere. (Now I've said that, everyone will watch thinking it's amazing and be disappointed lol)
Not absent minded... just deep in, er, concentration. :whistling:
Okay, I am in a mood for moons. Lets go back to Jupiter and take a look at its 64 moons. Now, the biggest of those is Ganymede-itself the biggest moon in the Solar System and almost 10% larger than Mercury. Such a moon must have...
Dark War by Tim Waggoner - 7/10. Fun, action-packed, tongue-in-cheek supernatural, horror noir and paranormal mash-up. Review here if anyone's interested in more information.
Never in the shower. When I used to drive I found myself occasionally singing along to the radio/CD, if the song was worthy...
Can we not nail a lid on this thread and drop it into the ocean where it will lay undisturbed?
I don't think I'd want to read books on the Kindle Fire though. Glare city. Plus you're supposed to be able to see the capacitor lines from the touch sensitive screen quite strongly. It will succeed I am sure, given the low price point for ownership. For a dedicated ereader though, I'll stick...
Anamnesis, do you mean this one? I still can't see whether he wrapped that prequel/mid series book in here - can you point out where I need to looking please.
Misery is seriously good. By that I mean quite creepy and horrific in parts.
I'd no idea there was an adaptation of Insomnia! That would be cool. Are you definitely sure it's Insomnia you're thinking of?
I recently finished Bag of Bones and I understand they're making that into a mini-series...
Yes, I think so too. Whilst there's no arguing the prowess and box-office behemoths or critically acclaimed nature some of his adaptations, that's a serious commitment to the Dark Tower series when alot of such films adapted have gone quite wrong...
There's a ton of King movie and small-screen...
