I think his plans originally were to finish the Dark Tower books (which was going to slot in between books 6 and 7 if I recall...) and then start on Dr. Sleep. I don't know, and can't find out right now, whether he has wrapped the Dark Tower book he was writing.
The cancellation by Universal...
Starburst magazine has a couple of videos of King confirming earlier stories, including posts on his official site's forums, that he has planned now a sequel to The Shining, entitled Dr Sleep.
That story (and videos) are here here.
I am a bit worried about the whole 'mind vampire' thing that...
Finished watching Season 2 the other day. I really enjoyed it, actually preferring it to Season 1. Sheldon definitely a strong character, and I noticed how he gets more preference to Leonard in Season 2. In Season 1 it was like they were a pair, now it's more like Leonard is the supporting...
Interesting how as the high street book sellers offering cheap books go out of business and close their doors in droves, WH Smiths starts to increase their prices... they did used to be cheap indeed. Now though, doesn't seem like they're too bothered with competition.
Tucked away, fairly out of sight, presumed asleep, in an alcove in my master's room; he and the Abo of Fossonova are discussing a series of terrifying events that have unfolded in the monastery, and which he'd like my master, William of Baskerville, to investigate.

"The provisional designation 2005 FY9 was given to Makemake...
I think they're both great choices, Ceres in particular. Love the echo - there's something of Pete Frampton about that reverb.
Pluto is fine too. There's nothing like Bjork jumping around in manic fashion around a stage and 'woo wooing' down a microphone to kick-start the day also.
Thank you for that fantastic break down of detail and information beer good. Really put a new spin on the whole thing, and informed me of a huge amount I didn't know!
The bass-lines on the early part of Journeyman are seriously intense. Have my PC hooked up to an amp and a pair of TDL floor standers and oh my gosh... I think the house is shaking. City Port reminds me a little bit of some of Burial's stuff. Nice. Very nice.
Beer good, your turn to pick a...
TheScribe, I notice that you're reading The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett. Maybe when you've finished you might care to post on this thread here on your enjoyment of the book (or non-enjoyment!).
Having just finished Bag of Bones I am not really surprised about King's work being seen as lacking somewhat. I've come to realise more and more he really is quite hit and miss; and it seems that quite a few other readers of his work seem in coherent and complete agreement about that fact...
Yeah, cafe-style book shops can be a fail - unless the cafe is really tucked away from the rest of the store and fairly small. That's ok. But when done badly (i.e. large/at the top of the store and then noise carries down everywhere else) then that sucks. That said - if it does keep the store...
