Usually I go by "Valentine" in my forums, but this time around I wanted something new. Hedwig has a double meaning for me: I love Harry's owl, and it was the name of my beloved maternal grandma.
I'm not a big fan of tattoos and piercings, AND I'm a coward when it comes to having pain inflicted on me voluntarily ... so I've only got the traditional earlobe piercings, one per side.
A wonderful and moving saga without drifting off into kitsch or melodrama ... however, I would have loved a happy ending at least for one of them, too. But apart from that, I loved the novel despite all the sadness and suffering.
I have also read "Family Matters" by Mistry, which was good...
I liked the book and also shed some tears while reading it. To me, it's Sparks's best book ... his later works often were too kitschy for my taste (sorry to all Sparks fans, don't take it personal.)
