I do so love losers. I do so love Hugh Laurie, mostly for his comedy with Stephen Fry.
But, I might recommend Douglas Coupland as an author if you like the other two. Also, Edward St. Aubyn doesn't come out great in his stuff. And if you can stand pure American, Jonathan Lethem is a good loser.
Last night I had dream that I was in school again, but it was boarding school, and my whole family was there, and I heard a reliable rumor that a bunch of guys (short and dark haired with mustaches) were going to come in the night and kill us, and then I heard a car pulll up in the driveway. It...
The Regeneration trilogy by Pat Barker is a must-read. So much better than Sebastian Faulks.
The books, in order, are: Regeneration, The Eye in the Door, and the Ghost Road. They are fiction, but based on the experience of Siegfried Sasson, the famous WWI poet who had a horrific war and then...
Stewart, please don't be a sweaty-tongued hound.
If someone is having a bad trip, it is our duty to talk him down from the ceiling without breaking the china.
I'll be Jane Banks.

Anyone notice a pattern here? Am I the hero of the downtrodden flametards?
Let's see . . . golden egg for the day . . .
Squeeze your little pink eyes together and think really hard until you blow up in a million billion little piglet molecules that will self-replicate like earthworms and...
Hi Doc,
I don't usually respond to member intros, but I like your style. Sean Connery was the best Bond. My son and I started a screenplay whereby he would come back as the aged Bond, with an aged Q, and a cranky old Moneypenny, etc. Thought it would be cool. If you can get him to commit...
MS, I'm with tartan skirt. Not sure what you're referring to. It would be best to continue such a 'continuation' of whatever you're referring to on the thread where it was originally discussed. Nobody can just guess what you said somewhere else some time ago.
Also, these cases were discussed...
I think that you don't have a clue. You could write 4 or 5 books on each chapter in Campbell's book. So when you say 'that was the only idea I thought of' I wonder whether you have the least notion of what you're talking about.
