I sat down last week and read Night by Elie Weisel in one sitting for school. It was pretty sad.

The today I'm irritated by __________ thread

I'm irritated by a member on another forum who's been rude to other members, spamming, and posting links to chat rooms. We (the supermods and admins) had to give her a strike. Some people have some nerve!

    Why Join an Online Forum?

I am an active member on several forums. All but one of them revolve around books. I find that being able to talk to people and say my opinion without being harshly ridiculed is a pleasant feeling. I also think that there are many more opportunities for discussion on online sites. Particularly...

    The demise of Borders bookstore

This may be true for some bookstores, but one of my favorite bookstores is Hastings. They have all of the above, but their book section is the same size as their music section which is the same size as their movie section. However, I do not like Borders as I think that most of their layouts are...

    Book recommendations for a preteen?

I really recommend the Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo. She is an awesome author and her books are targeted at preteens. So far she has a seven book series. Ray Bradbury

I, as well, have only read Fahrenheit 451, but I loved it! The way Bradbury tells the tale makes it such an enjoyable read. I'm definitely going to look into some of his other works.

Anyone know of a good book about attempts on Hitler's life?

I would really like to read a book about the attempts on Hitler's life, particularly the 15th and final one (about which Valkyrie was made). If anyone knows of any, that would be wonderful! thanks!

    Recomendations Please!!

I'm 15 years old too! I would really recommend Meg Cabot's stand-alone books. Airhead, one of her newer releases was excellent! How to be Popular and Pants on Fire were also good.

    The official 2012 apocalypse thread

I personally think all this hype about the world ending is just plain stupid. How would an ancient civilization have known about the end of the world? Seriously. The world has been predicted to end so many times, it's starting to get really old.
