1) Nothing, only a cup of coffee at work
2) I don't care. The main thing is I don't have to prepare it by myself. I need a lot of time to wake up ... In Germany this phenomenon is called "Morgenmuffel" :D is there a similar word in english?
Maybe this happend because Anne's House of Dreams isn't the first book of the series. It's useful to read the Anne books in order. Here is the first one: Anne of Green Gables at gutenberg.org
Lucy Maud Montgomery is one of my favorite Authors. When I was a child I saw the TV Series starring Megan Follows. Then my mother bought a german copy of "Anne of Green Gables" for me. I've read this book a thousand times ;). Later I got all translated copys of the Anne Series, which doesn't...
It's kind of interessing, but I don't know a lot about Austria and can't help you with this project. But I forwarded the link to some austrian friends.
Thanks a lot for this website. That's exactly the kind of community I'm looking for. I registered yesterday and found allready someone who wants to help me with my english :). (For Example with "this" and "that". I'm afraid I'll never learn to use these words correctly  )
My first language is German, so I do read books in a foreign language: English. So far I've read only a few books in english, but I want to read much more. That was one of my reasons for entering this forum :). I'm always looking for plain books in english. In the next time I want to read "the...

Thank you for your wishes :). I like this forum and hope to learn a lot about english books and about...
My avatar shows a character of Walter Moers's book "The City of Dreaming Books". It's a "Buchling". I don't know how to translate this into english, maybe will "Booky" work. A "Buchling" is a little creature who has read every book of "his" author.
I chose this avatar because I love books...
This can be useful if you're moving completely to germany. :D
But better remember this sentence: "Wie komme ich am besten zur nächsten Buchhandlung?" what means in English: "Where is the next bookstore?" ;)
Thanks for the compliment, I'm trying my best. But I'm sure I do often use...
Nice game. :)
I got to level 6, score 51
btw... what does "wpm" mean? Words per minute? In school, I typed 180 Letters per minute. I had the last typing test 10 years ago, so I've no idea how fast I'm now.
I like the books of Walter Moers very much and can't wait for the next one. The Books about "Zamonia" are wonderful and very funny. "A Wild Ride Through the Night" is based on 21 drawings from the work of Gustave Dore and is also great.
My favourite so far is "The City of Dreaming Books"...
