it could validate any doomsday prophecy. meh. and what doesn't the government hide from us?
what about asteroid 1950 DA? 1 in 300 chance it will slam into earth 878 years from now. 1 in 300 doesn't sound bad, but a degree off that could see our great great great great great etc grandkids...
you can use both, see here dictionary.com
thanks Moto- nice to see you're still here. it's good to find the same friends here when i have the chance to visit.
in Vancouver, on the corner of Robson and Thurlow (downtown) there are two starbucks, kitty-corner to each other. there are starbucks' down here every couple blocks.
i find starbucks coffee AWFUL! i think it tastes like tar, PLUS it has something like 80% more caffeine in it than regular home brewed (tim hortons has 30% more). and if you've ever bought anything topped with "whipped cream" and let it melt, you'll find half an inch of oil on the top of your...
i LOVE coffee. it's my favorite drink. that said, i only drink one cup per day at the most because my doc insists that the caffeine is what's giving me heart palpitations, and it's easier to keep my teeth white when i don't drink a lot. i don't do the flavoured thing either, and percolated is...

i'm dying to see King Kong. i really like Jack Black and have always LOVED Adrien Brody. of course, Peter Jackson is great (i managed to mostly enjoy the Frighteners) . gotta see it on the big screen for sure
The Matrix and 28 Days Later both had an impact on me- but more one of thought-provocation. Emotionally impacting movies for me include Love Actually, Dances With Wolves and Rob Roy
just wanted to pop in quick and see that the Londonites of TBF are OK. glad to see it. i am so sorry to hear of more terrorist bullshit. my heart goes out to everyone in London.
i love M. Night Shyamalan's movies. i would have to say he's my favorite director because i've enjoyed every one of his movies that i have seen (all on your list). loved them all. true, Unbreakable is also my least favorite, but it is so much more enjoyable than all the other drivel out there. i...
i think the ability to change depends on what aspect of a person's personality or behaviour we are referring to. i agree that we can't afford to not believe in redemption, but we have to be careful to whom we apply that belief. i think if the core of who you are is a sick freak who gets off on...
i like the second half of the year better than the first for a lot of reasons. this particular year will have some good stuff happening for me towards the end, so i'm looking forward. the first half was not so hot.
you have a good second half, too, Moto. i hope your year turns out well. :)
LOL
well, here's to each of our long weekends.
