i visited a used books store in my town recently(i live in the U.S.) and they had an autographed copy of Harry Potter for sale. It was a British edition of book 6 and cost $700. depends on the author and their books. i'd ask about their books, how they became a writer..basically it varies with the writer. which is why i started a thread boaut contacting authors.

how do you contact authors? imean, if they have no officials ite, how do you write to them? i tried going on their publishers sites and finding an adress, but is there a site with specific adresses where the mail could be forwarded? have you ever tried contactng an author?

i'm kinda the opposite. i do go to the library a lot, but i've been buying a lot of books lately. books i've read too. i suppose that i've become so attached to some books that i want to own that. and for that reason i buy some books. or buy books that are non fiction.
