i visited a used books store in my town recently(i live in the U.S.) and they had an autographed copy of Harry Potter for sale. It was a British edition of book 6 and cost $700. I didn't look at the signature, but even if i did i don't think it would do much good, i'm not an expert. do you think...
this is the 3rd book int he bartimaeus trilogy. i finished it two days ago. has anyone read it?

in the end, i was so sad when .......... died!! i jsut finished the book and rolle dover and started crying! i hope he writes more books that are related to...
depends on the author and their books. i'd ask about their books, how they became a writer..basically it varies with the writer. which is why i started a thread boaut contacting authors.
ok, i know textbooks aren' tevil, and i do read nonfiction, but i also like reading historical novles, they're one of my fave genres, so i just asked for suggestions.
how do you contact authors? imean, if they have no officials ite, how do you write to them? i tried going on their publishers sites and finding an adress, but is there a site with specific adresses where the mail could be forwarded? have you ever tried contactng an author?
i'm kinda the opposite. i do go to the library a lot, but i've been buying a lot of books lately. books i've read too. i suppose that i've become so attached to some books that i want to own that. and for that reason i buy some books. or buy books that are non fiction.

and novels because well..novels are more interesting to read. i could of course read textbooks about ancient rome and biographies and stuff, and i will, but i don't really need recommendations for textbooks. and novels are a very interesting way of looking at...
