    How Many Books In 2012?

    As a bare minimum, I'm fitting in one volume per week, but with the proviso that I have to enjoy every book I count. So I might have read seventy or so by December, a number which I'm far shy of at present. But there are plenty of short books in my collection to help me catch up.

    Have there been any good books written about Carlos the Jackal? If haven't seen Olivier Assayas's Carlos, OP, you should give it a look; you'll want to read more after seeing it.

    I was expecting wrecking ball revelations of intemperate holy men, but it seems the facade of steely asceticism remains standing. As for Medieval helpdesk, I smiled, but not a little uneasily for I am similarly obtuse when getting to grips with simple applications.
