What do you use as a bookmark?

Hey, has anyone mentioned that you shouldn't fold the page corners? I kid I kid. I use an index card. I've often thought about writing the name of each book I read while that is my trusty bookmark, but I never do. (My handwriting looks horrible)

    Have mercy on the n00b...

Just find a dealer nearby and have them appraised. Don't worry about getting screwed...a good dealer knows the cannon of ethics forbids them to buy the lot they appraise so you'll get an honest price.

I hate to be picky, but do you have a better link? One maybe directly to the contest? Or was this a sham to traffic to randomhouse?

    Chuck Palahniuk

I saw him speak at the University of Pennsylvania probably 3 years ago now. What a character this guy is, I'll leave it at that. I've read Invisible Monsters and didn't enjoy it. So many people rave about this book, and more power to them. I, for whatever reason, was unable to get into it...

    Following Protocol: Hello.

I just registered today and am already posting all over, so I figured I should at least say hello. I like the rest of you read in my spare time. I don't read as much as I like which is partially due to the fact that I am an extremely sloooooow reader. I do, however, try to get through a...

    Do you read non-fiction?

I rarely delve into the world of non-fiction. When I do it is either for a business motivation-esque book or it means that Jon Krakauer has written another

    Eragon

I thought this book was awesome as well. What I don't get is how he actually denies any Tolkien influence...maybe it's just his youth shining through... (and no, I'm not that much older than he) I can't wait for Elder which is the title of the second book of this Inheritance Trilogy.

Stephen King: The Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger

I had a hard time getting into the Gunslinger, but I'm glad I've not given up on the series. I LOVED The Drawing of the Three and The Waste Lands. I'm taking my time getting through this series, but I do look forward to finishing it now that all 7 books have been released.
