    Your favorite position

I used to read leaning my chair back against my bed, with my feet propped up on my desk, but i swapped beds and rearranged my room so I can't!!! So I now read sitting up on my bed, leaning against the wall.

    How many times.......

I'll read a book over. I don't just reread my favourite ones. I'll reread something when I'm bored, or when I'm stuck on the train, or when I wander into the library at lunch, and just feel like some mindless "escapism". Or when I have nothing else to read. I don't buy many books, so I don't...

    Eragon

The spoilers aren't too, well, spoiler-ish. They just sort of confirm what we already know. I have a feeling that Roran is going to end up on the opposite side to Eragon...

How many books have you read in 2005?

    I think it's 45 or 46 so far...

How many books do you own?

It depends whether I count: just the ones that are mine - with my name in the front (about 75), the ones that live in my bedroom but once belonged to my parents or other reletives (about 200), the ones that are family books and I KNOW my sister's going to abduct them when she's older (50 maybe)...

Turn Off Your TV & Read Week!

I don't watch TV, but I still think it's a really good idea!

What do you do with a book you've read?

Normally I reread it to death, renew it as many times as possible, and then (reluctantly) return it to the library. If it's mine, I hoard it...

What do you look for in a book?

I agree with the above. An ideal book has a plot so gripping you can't put it down, has a lot of deep and meaningful issues, has humourous dialogue (ideal for quoting), believable characters, takes you somewhere else so that he forget who or where you are, is realistic relevant... and...

NO point reading more than 1 by any author

I don't agree, but I'm the sort of person who finds an author I like, reads everything that author's written I can get my hands on, and then find another author. I don't do that consistantly...I'll read other stuff in between, and I don't always have an author I'm reading, and then I'll find...

    Bargains

Most of my book bargains have been the books the library is selling. I still haven't figured out why these books get sold. Sometimes it's obvious (like The Seeing Stone is slightly watermarked and someone had scribbled on the cover page of Harry Potter and the Philospher's stone) but I've found...

Books that you wished they made into a movie?

I think "Raider's Tide" would make a good film. Not because it's a brilliant book, but it's not all the long (so they wouldn't have to cut out all the good bits!) and it's got action... and it's set in the 1500s or so, so the costumes and stuff would be fun! I agree that so many books don't...

people that can't read in cars>>>WIMPS?

I just found out that my friend can't read in the car. She reads as much if not more than I do. I sort of stared at her in shock. "well, I can but then I throw up" she reasonably adds. I remember coming back from holiday and my dad was pulled over for a breathalyser test, I started talking...

    Do you tend to be...

I'll read between 1 to 4 books at a time. Often that's because there's a book I'm reading at home (which stays there because), and one in my bag for on the train, and then I'll forget to take that to the library at lunch and so will start reading something else because they have discaraded their...

Why do we like collecting books?

I love acquiring books! I have a lot that are library rejects I bought for 50 cents, or found second-hand, and a lot were my parents (or other relatives). Hence most are falling apart and are old. My parents have never really bought me books (for b'days and stuff) because they claim I read too...

    Eragon

It comes out in August! (i think) *jumps up and down* I can't wait... I love Eragon. Must reread it. Apparently the author says half the book is about Roran (Eragon's cousin) I wonder what he gets up to??? Anyway, it'll be interesting to see.

How long do you read for??

I read whenever. Generally about 1/2 hr in one go (b/c that's how long I spend on the train) or 4/3 hr (duration of lunchtime). At home, it varies, depedning how much time i spend on the net, and what I'm reading. And homework. *shudders*

    How well read are you?

I have read over 842 books in almost 4 years. That's not really including books I have reread (which I do a lot). I know one summer I read 60 books in 6 weeks, but at the moment I read about 8-14 books a month. So I must have read thousands of books. But well read? I'm not sure. I read a lot...

    remember your first chapter book?

I started reading chapter books when I was... 7 or 8 I believe. The Faraway Tree, and then the Wishing Chair by Enid Blyton. Around that time I also read Narnia by C.S. Lewis, The Secret Garden, What Katy Did (etc), and I believe a series of books that I can't really remember called My Best...

    Quotation marks in novels

I've come across a few books without them. In one, i found it really confusing. Sometimes, it's hard enough to determine who is speaking with quotation marks! I personally just think it's annoying. What's wrong with quotation marks, anyway?

    can't stop reading syndrom (lol)

I'm meant to be doing... ah, homework I think. I'm an addictive reader. When i was younger, my parents used to confiscate my books. So I hid them all in really strange places so they couldn't find them. When I'm in the middle of a really gripping book, I even try smuggling it into class...
