Meadow, I do apologise. I had been led to understand that most readers can 'guess' at vampire possibilities with the 'paranormal' tag. I see I need to make this more clear. I don't want to mislead readers. Thanks for the clear feedback.

Thank you :)
I've just published my first ebook - a novelette called 'The Viscount's Son'
What's it about?
'The Viscount's Son' is a fictional blog that tells the story of book conservator, Emma, and her online project - to transcribe an ancient and mysterious text. The trouble is, Emma's colleague...
Well you're selling your book so that's a plus! Did you end up going with smashwords as well? I visit three forums, on an irregular basis, I agree that you can end up spending all your time on forums rather than writing if you're not careful. Do you think forums can help with you marketing...
I'm glad I found this thread, it's great to hear about authors who have completed their first novel and are in the process of publishing. Sounds like you did some serious planning before you wrote one word. I was happy to read this as I'm prone to a little 'over planning' myself, but now that...

On the weekend I went secondhand book shopping. I've always loved secondhand book shops, the smell, the mystery, the eco-friendly shopping. But, even well-thumbed paperbacks are too expensive for me now. I only bought two books then went home to download the others on my iPad at less than a...
I'm always checking out ebooks by relatively unknown authors. Most of them aren't too bad, but some are real shockers! I've yet to read one that is what I would call 'riveting' but when I do I'll post it! I enjoy seeing new authors succeed and beating the publishers ;)
I loved both the book and the tv series - which I recently bought on DVD (online). The series was made in the 70s but the actors are fantastic and the story is such an intriguing one. Obviously the costuming, sets and special effects would have been much better if made today, but it is still...
