I've read books 1 & 2 so far. Is it true that characters form some of his other novels crossover into this series? Will Pennywise the evil clown have an appearance?
I'm reading Hosts right now
I've been reading them in order. I am also working through The Adversary Cycle , I just finished Reborn (book 4) and am about to start Reprisal. I love how all the books interconnect. These books are absolute BRAIN CANDY :D
Yes!!!
Wow, I had forgotten about this series. A great blend of Sci-Fi/Fantasy and a vampiric villain forced into working with the good guys. Good call, Zolipara!
Tyrants and Kings by John Marco
1 - "The Jackal of Nar"
2 - "The Grand Design"
3 - "The Saints of the Sword"
I also second the Eddings "Belgariad" suggestion by Magemanda :) .
Wasn't Grimnebulin's (I think that was his name) love interest an insectoid alien? I read Perdido Street Station a while ago. It was out there but I liked it.
I read this and book 2 as well!!!
"Prisoner of the Iron Tower". Pretty good stuff, not too heavy (mind candy). I'll definitely be on the lookout for book 3 of Tears of Artamon.
Dr. Ernest Drake's Dragonology
It's not a storybook, it's designed as a journal about all things Dragon. The art was fantastic and there were textures and such. My kids and I loved it.
PS - I work in Wilmington and live in Newark!
I read "Cabal" by Clive Barker and liked it. I have read some short stories by Lovecraft, the whole Cthulhu mythos is pretty wild, but difficult to get a grip on for a newbie.
I think i've only ever read 2
Dragon Doom by Dennis McKiernan - I enjoyed this story, an Dwarf male and a Human woman fall in love.
Eye of Night by Pauline Alama - not exactly my normal cup of tea (no brawny barabrians - the heroes are flawed), but a solid novel nonetheless that I enjoyed.
Wow! I've read something by (almost) all of the aforementioned authors.
Let me throw some names out that I didn't see so far:
1 - John Marco (am I the only one who's ever heard of this guy?)
2 - David Farland Runelords series
3 - David B. Coe Winds of the Forelands series
4 - James...
