    By definition popular doesn't have to equal bad. The problem however, lies in the majority appetites of the day. We are programing ourselves for mediocrity. If a book requires effort, many people just can't/won't fit it into their lives. We are dumbing ourselves down in so many areas...

    Yes I really loved this book. It's a bit reminiscent of The Good Earth - Pearl Buck. I am also very interested in the history of Kashmir/India/Pakistan and the various political, religious and social conflicts ongoing there. I think you'll enjoy it.

    Women's Fiction

    I haven't read much ChikLit, but I did read Julie and Julia, as well as How to Cook a Tart. But were very entertaining. Those kind of books are great for plane rides or overnight hotel stays. Fun, easy and quick.

    Children's Books you still love to read today.

    Yes! That is such a great series. One of my favorites. For the little ones I also love the I Can Read Books, like Danny and the Dinosaur, Amelia Bedelia, Mouse Tales, Harry and the Lady Next Door, Frog and Toad are Friends, etc... They instantly take me back to my childhood.
