Interesting graph showing real and adjusted price of crude. we are getting up there but still have a way to go.
Crude will probably steady soon, asuuming no more GOM storms or terror threats, and the Northern Hemisphere has a normal winter, and that pig stops flying past my window.

It was actually just under $12/barrel in 1998. At that time the oil companies looked at a minimum of $14/barrel before they would commit to a developement. So not much happened that year, especially exploration drilling.
Edit: an exploration well will cost between 9 and 30 million dollars...
Perth Australia

As long as it does not adversly affect the world economy I don't mind as I work in the oil industry and a higher oil price means higher day rates eventually.
A selfish view I know. But I have had lean times when oil was sub $10/barrel!!!!!!!

Watching Farscape now on DVD. Read a quote from Gigi Edgley (an Aussie actress) saying that some Farscape conventions in the USA attract 30,000+ attendees. WOW

So the question 'Is it possible to travel faster than the...
AFAIK Einstein's theory of relativity et al states that the speed of light can not be crossed. ie if you are travelling slower than the speed of light you can not go faster. However if you are travelling faster whoop dee do, there you are, but you are existing in a different space time...

New Scientist, National Geographic or Scientific American is what you need for the crapper. Not too much consumerism in these.
Although you may end up building an interstellar space ship, an orbital chemical plant to find the cure for cancer, save the whales, stop African drought and...
it's been on in Australia for ages. And I believe it has a big following.
On one forum I hang out at occassionally there are 9 pages of posts. So I guess some people like it.
I very very rarely watch FTA TV, (not that I watch cable either) so I have never seen an episode of it, just the...
