Did anyone read this?
I must say, I was not entirely impressed... :(
Too long, too many calendar references and too boring... :(
What do you think?
Hobitten :) :)
Thank you, Abulafia... I guess... The Danish is not quite right, but do you know, what it means? It's actually quite rude. :(
all the best Hobitten :o
I have just finished Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes . It's absolutely wonderful, and highly recommendable. He has a wonderful way with words, and is excellent at describing a young boys thoughts and sentiments.
Now I am off to Monica Ali's Brick Lane .

I had a great - and busy day - as usual. Working my little a... off to make a birthday dinner, so that my friends could celebrate me.
But a great day it was - a great day.

This weekend I am doing nothing at all. Nothing, except a bit of laundry and a bit of shopping - maybe even for books.
I started a new job on June 1st. And this is the first weekend without any plans. YES!!!

I am not into football - really, but I do feel called upon to comment on this outragious idea, that the match between Denmark and Sweden was fixed. Anyone who knows anything about Danish-Swedish history could not possibly think that. :(
Don't you know that it is bloody serious (and I...
It's not so much Euro 2004. It's Euro 2004, Tour de France, Wimbledon, The Olympics - and all the other sportsevents, that will monopolize the TV. :(
I can only say:
Thank God for books!!! and hopefully a long beatiful summer outside.

Usually I read in bed at night, and in the morning before I get up. But lately I am too tired to do either, because of this new job of mine.
The new job is in another town, so I commute. That's great, because I can read in the train.

"Houston - we have a problem"
My 'puter - or rather my internet connection is down at the moment. Will be fixed at the end of the week. :(
I have borrowed my brother in law's now, to let you all know. You'd better skip me down to the bottom of the list.
Sorry Guys!! :(...
I know - I know - I know.
Just started a new job this tuesday, everything tupsy-turvey - but I get down to it - hopefully tonight or tomorrow night.
Haven't even read Carlos' yet!!!
Be patient with me...

Have any of you guys read Elizabeth George's latest crime novel, A Place of Hiding?
I finished it last week, and I must say - I find it somewhat disappointing.
Ordinarily I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth George, but somehow her latest novel did live up to my expectations. I had a difficult...
