I finished reading Life Expectancy the other night and I liked it. It was more suspense than horror, but Koontz did a great job in keeping the reader reading. Every chapter ended with a shocking moment or revelation. I enjoyed the overall feeling I got from the book and I recommend it to...
I just finished reading Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz. I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't a favorite. Koontz again describes everything vividly (especially the dialogue at dinner) and it does get a little tedious. Life Expectancy cannot compare to my first read by Koontz, The Taking, which...
Thank you! :) I don't have much left of Life Expectancy and I plan on starting Choke tomorrow. I haven't read any of Palahniuk's books so I'm sure I'm in for a surprise.

I'm the same way Martin. I can't keep a conversation going that long. Usually I can talk my butt off about something I enjoy talking about, but if it doesn't interest me...meh.
I enjoy a book with all of those qualities but the one that does it for me is character development. I love finishing a book and actually knowing the character and feeling what they feel. Great feeling. :)
