    The Vigil and Other Stories

I am humbled by your lavish praise. I know I don’t deserve it but if, even for a moment, my writing could move you to pen those lines, I’m blessed. I have got my reward. Thank you.

    A community story

She didn’t understand what the lady meant but she couldn’t wait for an explanation. She left the bus, still puzzling over the woman’s reply and walked bang into someone. With a hasty apology, she stepped back, as did the girl she had collided with. The girl was about ten, wearing a cotton...

Challenge: Write a Short Story in a Week

The earlier challenges did not specify a word length. This one did. More important is the number of participants. I think I'll wait fo a couple of days and see if someone participates/ confirms participation. No fun going solo.

    Your writing routine

Challenge: Write a Short Story in a Week

Hi, I saw the challenge yesterday. It immediately sparked off an idea but 3K word length is daunting, in terms of time to be spent on what is essentially a fun exercise. If word lengh is flexible and there are other participants, I wouldn't mind having a go.
