Hey Pontiac. In addition to my response on "Do You Believe." My friend told me this story at my dad's funeral. He was trying to comfort me, and himself, by saying he thought we would all see my dad again someday. And he's far from being a loon.
That's between you and me, okay. No everyone...
Aqua-Pontiac. This may help. I recently spoke to a very good friend of the family that I have known since I was a little kid. He had a medical emergency a year or so ago. He literally keeled over at a casino in Vegas (he lives there, he goes to casinos frequently.) He says he believes he...
I remember a Mrs. Wills and Mr. Stegner, who taught elementary school at Kaiserslautern Elementary School in the early 70's (I can't remember the grade. As a military brat I changed schools about every two years. It's hard to keep track.) A Dept. of Defense school in Germany. God bless them...
I'm just happy to hear the next one is due in March. I'm right in the middle of The Falland I'm enjoying it just as much as the first book.
I want to see this series turned into a movie. A good one! Nora and Eph may proceed with their relationship but it should be built on carnage and...
Okay so it's not the end of the world but I am so annoyed. After a three month hiatus from reading I am now able to return to my favorite hobby. (Woohoo! Puppy is all settled in.)
So I go onto my local library website and I find that my list of "to be requested" books has been wiped clean...
One of my favorites too, Paul. If I'm remembering correctly, the introduction (or maybe it's chapter 1) is one of the coolest intro's to a story ever. It describes the boy on his way somewhere (library?) and it completely sets the mood for the story.
Awesome book.
I never, ever, ever, shop on Black Friday. I don't like crowds, especially when they are in psycho-shopping mode. I'd rather pay more on another day. No deal is worth it for me.
I've added three more books to my post-puppy reading stacks. :)
An Instance of the Fingerpost - Pears
The Collected Short Fiction of Ngaio Marsh - Marsh
Bruno, Chief of Police - Walker
Think of it this way, there are people in this world who spend thousands on drugs, porn, gambling..........vintage cars, etc. I mean huge amounts of money! A book addiction is most definitely a lesser of all the evils you could be spending money on.
BTW, we love Ramen at our house. Add...
I'm pretty sure I have a disorder of some sort. I haven't been able to read for about two months. I will not be able to read for about another two to three months. All my books are packed away for safe keeping while our new puppy does the tasmanian devil/puppy chewing thing. Yet, I still end...
Sparkchaser's cartoon sent me off an a Anti-Twilight hunt. There is some very funny stuff out there.
Bump it if it's not okay to link this but I thought it was funny.
Well shoot. I guess waiting for the Laird to ride across the moors from his castle keep on a black charger to rescue me from the banality of bookkeeping and house drugery is not time well spent.
