    Which e-reader do you own?

Not sparklicious but I will interject anyway. Battery life is less, storage is lower, fonts are a wash and I really miss the page change button on both sides of the device. In my ever so humble opinion the built in light, smaller size and the available case (which is brilliant) erases all of...

    Best book to movie?

The author is no Greg Bear. That said, it is quick and simple stuff. I was using the series to fill time during the offspring's dance competitions. Charlize is too pretty. Finding a 6'2" Asian/Caucasian, athletic, kind-of-pretty-but-not-a-bombshell, buzzcut wearing, aesthetically 22 year old...

Perhaps a few evenings with Jenna Elfman would make me forget my loss. To plagiarize H.G. Wells, which three books would you take?

I did not know that. I believe so. The math works quite well until we add in the temporal dimension, then the odds are just astounding. One can hope there is intelligence out there possessing the wherewithal to drop by for tea, but I suspect we are on our own. We need to get busy. Same.

    Modern classics of all kinds

Ancient stories about small green elves that would kidnap people translating into the modern era. If one of these LGM came along and offered you an all expense paid journey around the local group would you go?

    Modern classics of all kinds

remotepast (adj): Of a chance or possibility unlikely to occur and gone by in time and no longer existing. recentimes (adjenoun): Having happened, begun, or been done not long ago or not long before and the conditions of life during a particular period. I don't know why this is so confusing...

    Best book to movie?

A case in point is the upcoming movie depicting the Honor Harrington space opera series by David Weber. In the books all of the opposing forces operate naval warships that look nearly identical to each other. This makes perfect sense if we assume that all of the antagonists are on or about the...
