Quantum computing is the next great leap forward and the one that will make machines finally be able to compute in a non-linear fashion, which is arguably where the concept of creativity resides.

It's cheap and surprisingly well done. Stand alone or MP. You will master the AI pretty quickly, but the MP will kick your ass. There are a lot of good players on ICO. Be aware, however, that Steam just had a summer sale that has crushed ICO's online MP system. :)

If you can run either of those now on full tilt everything you will have no issues poking around.
With regard to Harpoon, if you like RTS games Sins of a Solar Empire is pretty damned good and is still being supported/expanded.
Unless you have that ridiculous Starter version then yes, with caveats. Premium will address 16 gig and Pro/Ultimate will do 192. Of course it will do no good if you do not run applications that can use that much memory or a lot of applications at once that cumulatively can use that amount of...
