I think it's terrific that you spend enough time with them to help them understand difficult concepts. I do hope that you also spend time with them watching movies. I find a frightful number of kids who actually BELIEVE that things they see in movies are REAL!
I remember sitting...
Most impressive? Ever? Hmm, I'll have to qualify that in two stages: "Books I most often return to, to read again" and "Dropped my jaw, spun my head, made me think, but haven't been back very often (or since)."
Most often returned to:
Dune (yearly, and get something new out of...
 Out of how many sampled? Easy percentages to muster if you've asked five people. I'll be more impressed if you've polled a hundred or more.

Penguins always fold their pizza and prefer anchovies to pepperoni!
New, as in "new to writing" or "new to you"?? I usually use great forums like these and several on Yahoo to find authors I've never heard of. It's how I found Jim Butcher and Kelley Armstrong (paranormal/fantasy). Sometimes, a clerk in a store will see my selection and recommend a new author...
 I guess that "bookmobiles" are a particularly small-town American phenomenon, then? It's a library on wheels about the size of a moving van that comes to a central area like a grocery store lot and people check out books just like if they'd gone to the regular library. Then it's...
I did once. I had a Monza Super Spyder, and he was "Spidey"
Good God, yes! I've had eight auto accidents in twelve years! Never once at fault, but I seem to have a target painted on me!
Illegal in Texas, but I used to in Colorado. Less truck ruts.
Always. Lots of bugs here...
Ooo! Thanks, Mort! I usually go through the drive-up and hadn't noticed that entry. Maybe it's time to venture inside to see the full board! Yay!

Mmm.... fried!
I like worldbuilding games, too. I like Age of Mythology somewhat, but the cut scenes were annoying. My all-time favorite was "Masters of Magic" but it was a DOS based game (I've even kept around an old 486 machine JUST to play it!) Haha.

Only the ones that mean you harm, direstraits. The rest are to distract you... :D
And yeah, I love Hitman! I try for the "silent assassin" title, while my hubby goes for "mass murderer"! LOL!

And I read pulp with the occasional literary bent! LOL! But I've gotten several new author names here, just as soon as I save up some money. Sigh!

Heh, that's only because you haven't played Doom3 yet, bobby! It's enough to turn my jaded husband into a sweating, twitching zombie for days! :D I'm not too impressed with the television ads for GTA (every*#@% five minutes!) Boy, they'd better sell a BUNCH of those games to pay for...
Really, Liv? I didn't think that Digital Fortress (which I liked a lot) felt at ALL like Da Vinci Code (which I LOVED).
I'm just starting on Deception Point, so perhaps that will tie the feel together and make me agree. We'll see! :p

Yeah, imagine seeing one similar from about six inches away hanging onto the bottom of the garage door while you're opening it! I nearly leapt out of my skin! Although I couldn't find the really icky one that was ACTUALLY on the door. I must have buried the image somewhere (definitely...
Oh, had I but known! And here I was just having a nice plate of sauted Nurseryweb spiders in a rich marinara for dinner! SIGH! Here's a nice Texas-sized one! They get up to 6 inches across, and you find them in the most INTERSTING places.

Sure, I could have made...
