Hmmm, no literary lawyers on board here?
The book Reminiscences of a Stock Operator was a fictionalized account of Jesse Livermore's life, taken from a series of interviews done by Edwin Levevre for the Saturday Evening Post. The names were all changed even though it was obvious who they...
Stupid Yahoo Groups search function doesn't work worth a crap. About a year or so ago I posted a message there about how I deleted Fox from my bookmarks because of one of their news reports was actually an editorial piece, thinly disguised. They do that from time to time, but I remember that in...
I actually missed that the first time around. I thought you were trying to point out that the map shows the Islamic nations and magnified and Israel as tiny. It totally escaped me that Iraq had changed it's name to Egypt.
I remember reading this thread a couple of years ago and feeling too ashamed to post pics of my library because it's so much smaller than most. However, I went on a mass market paperback reading spree last year and my library has grown to a respectable size. After I find a good corner bookcase...

I thought bookshelfporn was an odd name, but then look at this reading room:
Wow. I would love to have a reading room like that!
I get the feeling that this is a "shock value" piece. It flys in the face of some very smart and important people in the publishing industry, and I intend to ignore it.
I'm a news junkie and I usually score fairly high on those "Test Your News IQ" tests that the webistes have every week. So I have a lot of news site bookmarks. My memory has faded, but Fox did "it" one too many times and I threw them out of my bookmarks. I expect to see some bias in reporting...
