Whew! Finally finished Atlas, all 1200 pages. Slogging through John Galt's radio address was the toughest part, I could only manage a page or so a day before it put me to sleep. It had a few nice little nuggets of wisdom interspersed throughout, but for the most part it seemed like meaningless...
Danielle Steel endorses the Nook:

Does the Kindle do all of the things that the Nook does in that ad?
I don't have an e-reader yet, but if Danielle Steel has a Nook, well I guess that's what I will have to get :)
(Love the...
From the Publishers Weekly review of Goddess of the Market by Jennifer Burns:
Amphetamines? Seriously? I have never heard of Ayn Rand using amphetamines before, and I recently watched a documentary about her. Does anybody have any insight/comments into this?
RE: Barron's subscription. I took my renewal notice with me to lunch one day so that I could call them while I was waiting on the meal and do my renewal over the phone. I reached Sanjay, who spoke with a slight Punjab accent, but after I gave him all the information about myself he told me that...
Nils Bjurman. Corrupt legal guardian of Lisbeth Salander in GWTDT.
Now, since my character's name also ends with an "n', do I face some sort of penalty or sanction?
A Perfect Stranger by Danielle Steel. I stumbled in to it at the CVS drugstore last summer. They had a bunch of paperbacks that had very rudimentary covers and were on sale for only $5.99. It turns out that they were re-releases and this one was from 1981. There's no way I would have found it...
This is from Wikipedia about Toohey's plot to get Roark to build the Stoddard Temple:
There's nothing in the book that I remember that would lead me to believe that Roark would design the temple short and squat, in fact there was nothing really specific at all about Roark's designs, just...
The internet really started taking off in 1995, which put me at 30 years old at the time it was happening. I was an employee at a company that was a distribution center for companies doing business on the internet, but that company failed due to mismanagement. So failing at that instance, right...
Something doesn't seem quiet right here. If the USA Today loses it's hotel subscriptions, then it's subscription base will be cut in half. Did the chairman hear a death knell in the recently filed suit against Hilton Hotels? Does he see the end of the USA Today?
Gannett Chairman, CEO resigns, citing disability - Yahoo! Finance
MCLEAN, Va. (AP) -- Media company Gannett says its chairman and CEO is resigning due to health issues.
Craig A. Dubow, 56, a 30-year veteran of the company, has been Gannett's CEO since 2005. He began his second medical...
If there isn't an explanation soon following this confusing bit the reader will just assume that you have not put any effort into a coherent story and will stop reading.
Also noteworthy - comparing the "honor" culture in the mountains of Appalachia to the culture of hardworking Jewish immigrants arriving in New York a couple of generations ago shows why there may be such a huge gap between the success of Jewish New York lawyers and Kentucky sawmill workers. If...
Subtitled The Story of Success. It tells the stories of successful people from a very different perspective. We've all heard about Bill Gates of course, but is it really true that he was just a hard working genius who worked his way to the top? There was more to it than that, and Gladwell gets...
They got me. Finally. After subscribing twice in the last couple of years to Barron's with the special introductory rate, I'm going to go ahead and subscribe now at the regular price now so that I don't get an interuption in service.
