    Wow ..

I'm hardly back - I received an e-mail from TBF, because some ancient thread got revived (the 'Shit floating to the top' one), and I thought I'd take a gander. Just saying hello to some old friends. So, what'd I miss?

    Wow ..

Is this place still around? I kinda reckoned it'd stop existing once I left. Who'd've thunk it? Proceed, if you must. P.S.: How the hell is everybody?

What new TV shows are you watching?

I'm watching House, now, with a fabulous Hugh Laurie. Excellent show, very intelligent and witty. Besides that I'm also watcing Prison Break, a relatively new show about, you guessed it, a prison break. Seen two episodes sofar and it looks to be entertaining.

    Authors you want to drop-kick.

Ah well, IE is working perfectly for me, with its tabbed browsing.

What new TV shows are you watching?

Battlestar Galactica (season 1) is rocking my socks off, and I'm revisiting Firefly, for the sake of the Serenity film coming up. Other than that, British comedy Spaced and crappy sci-fi show The 4400.

    Neil Gaiman

I don't think it does, though I think it's generally agreed that American Gods is his best.

    Authors you want to drop-kick.

Too bad Firefox is so damn vulnerable to viruses and outside attacks. Author, drop-kick: Irvine Welsh, for making that accent so damn impenetrable.

    Have we lost Stewart too?

Whatever happened to "Gee, that was rather amusing. Thank you Abecedarian, you gave me a good chuckle over that".? Or just plain "Haha!", or "That was funny!"?

    Have we lost Stewart too?

Okay, Okay, so I'm not down with the hipsters with their wacky new lingo, but what the hell does ROTFALTIC! mean?

34 already? Damn, you're ancient! Eat cake, unwrap gifts, drink beer, insult relatives, have a ball. Many happy returns, friend.

    Old characters in new shows

First of all - 'Buffyverse' is an actual word? That's freaky. I loved Buffy several years ago, but I think I've outgrown it. It was such a hype back then that you couldn't really do anything except get caught up in it, and I did. That said, the actors branching out doesn't bother me in the...

    Your thoughts on books.

In that case we agree 100%. Well put. Cheers

    Jonathan Safran Foer

It truly is - in just two books time, Mr. Foer has established his place at the very top of my favourite authors list. Cheers

    Invasion

Mix 'n Match Falling lights and creatures? I think you're mixing up two shows now. Invasion had falling lights (during the hurricane), and Surface has creatures. Both didn't impress me, at all, but I'll give Invasion the benefit of the doubt for now. Probably won't make it past the second or...

    Neil Gaiman

Never change a winning formula - I adored American Gods, so I'll be sure to pick this up, too.
