And not just nowadays either. Cheers

    War Of The Worlds

Ah, thank you - so many people hate the film purely due to the final 15 minutes. Such a shame. Cheers

Why is it so bloody hard ..

I'd like to add that I'm talking about comedies which were intended as comedies. :D Accidental comedy is another thread altogether. Adam Sandler, Will Ferrel and Ben Stiller make me physically ill. Cheers

    War Of The Worlds

For the record, I loved AI - one of the most gorgeous looking films I have ever seen. And the ending, if somewhat overlong, does seem appropriate, I think. Cheers

Why is it so bloody hard ..

.. to make a decent comedy?! Only two films have made me laugh out loud on a regular basis, and still do - these are Ocean's Eleven and Shrek. All the SNL Alumni do nothing for me, nor do the Wes Anderson flicks (Tennenbaums and Aquatic) or the Sandler flicks (or is he from SNL also?). Jim...

    War Of The Worlds

It's Kubrick last - that alone warrants a viewing. I haven't seen it, though. Cheers

Happy First Day of Summer - Officially

It's still incredibly hot over here, but slightly less incredibly hot than it was yesterday. I've mopped up my brain and poured it back into my ear, so perhaps it'll stay put, today. Cheers, my man.

Cool, thanks for sharing, Sar. Excellent story. I do agree that, after a while, you get a better view of the person you're talking to. In the beginning it will be fun and games, taunting eachother, making jokes, trying to impress eachother and whatnot. But after a while, when you get to know...

Sar: Great story. I won't ask what the hell you were doing on a Robbie Williams chatroom. I agree with what you say, about getting to know their personality first, but I believe it's there where the danger lies - it's so very easy to embellish your good sides and 'forget to mention' your bad...

    War Of The Worlds

Really looking forward to this. I loved the previous Spielberg/Cruise collaboration, Minority Report, and the trailer for this one looks spectacular as hell, so what's not to like? That's a rethorical question. Cheers

She doesn't. hey, it's not like I planned this. And I never acted on it. And you didn't answer the question. Cheers

Ever experienced it, in any shape or form? I once, in a previous life, had very good contact with a slightly older, married woman who lived on the other side of the world. We mainly talked through PM on a forum I used to frequent, because, well, she was married, and I was in a relationship...
