I do agree, though that 16 is a bit excessive. She has spent 12 years of her life pregnant, oops make that 11, I forgot about the twins. I love my kids, but I am so relieved not to be spit-up on, drooled on, chewed on, have to pack up half the house to go anywhere, and diapers...
For my region and generation, I have a large family (four children). There are only a few families around here that are bigger than mine. While I cannot spend tons of time every day with each one of my kids, there are some hidden advantages to having a larger family. On the subject of...
I just have one question. Does the baby have to be silent at birth, too? Those little buggers have their own ideas about stuff like that, I had one start screaming the second his head popped out.
If any man ever shushed me during childbirth, I would have probably ripped his head off.
I abandon books, too, sometimes half-way through, sometimes they sit on my shelf unread for weeks. That is one of the main reasons I borrow from the library. If I buy a book, I feel I must read it, but if I have paid nothing for it and I find that after I have brought a book home that I no...

I intend to engcourage her art as much as possible. She wants to go to art school, and as much as I'd love to send her to the top one in the country, she's so timid that she'll probably only go as far away as our local uni.
I know how that is. My oldest keeps asking me for new notebooks for school and when I look in her old ones I see pages of drawings. My budding artist fills her school notebooks with artwork instead of homework. And yes, I have bought notebooks exclusively for drawing and those get filled up...
Wow! You just gave a a neat idea for my personal journal. Its just one of those black and white marble composition books, and I've been wanting to do something to it to make it pretty. Thanks!
I've read a couple of books that were Oprah's picks, but purely by accident. They had been on my TBR list and I only knew they were her picks because I saw the label on the covers when I pulled them off the shelf.
I have to agree with scottishduffy:
