My oldest is home sick today, with fever and sore throat. Hey, at least the littlest one has someone to play with! I'm watching Hurrucane Rita and making preparations for a stormy weekend. I may make a quick run to the library to stock up on books, the grocery for a few essentials, and then...
How about some more?
How do crazy people go through the forest? - They take the psycho path.
How do you get holy water? - Boil the heck out of it.
What did the fish say when it hit a concrete wall? - "Dam!"
What do Eskimos get from sitting on the ice too long? - Polaroid's...
Ready for some puns?
1) Arachnoleptic fit (n.) The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.
2) Beelzebug (n.) Satan in the form of a mosquito that gets into your bedroom at 3 in the morning and cannot be cast out.
3) Bozone (n.) The substance...

I have one I heard on the radio yesterday, kinda geared towards the guys.

Hubby reads significantly less than I do but he owns significantly more books... Our tastes are very different. He's mostly into religious writings and conspiracy theories, whereas I read many genres of fiction and a few types of non-fiction. I give him books as gifts when the...
It is really a well thought out book. He spends some time discussing his life before the accident and the ramifications afterwards. I teared up more than once. There is a moral to the story, he blames no one but himself, and he shows that life does go on.
My 5"x7" spiral notebook where I keep my TBR list has seen better days. I am tempted to get another and transcribe the list more neatly into it, but the more practical side of me keeps arguing that I'd have to buy another notebook and spend at least an hour writing the list, again. I think...
I'm in the same boat. No cable , no DSL out here and only one phone company. But I can't complain too much because of the cost, we pay a low flat fee for unlimited usage within a certain area. So I gotta take the good with the bad.
snicker @ miss shelf and leckert!
Anywho, did you know that veterinary school is harder to get into than medical school? (at least, here in the States)
Yeah, but she homeschools her ten kids so when she says there is too much noise around her constanly, she means it. There's nary quiet moment in her house.
