Didn't we just go through this crap not that long ago? Someone was whining about not enough moderation and now we are getting it and now someone else is whining. You have to decide if you want to be here enough to put up with the rules. If you don't, then leave. If you like...
I'm sorry these things happened, I've been through the divorcing parents thing myself. Its rough, I know. I bet you sat alone at home alot. What better way to escape from this unpleasantness that to immerse yourself in a book for a few hours. Don't start the blame game, where everyone else...
Poor kids just threw himself to the wolves, didn't he? :o
Just about all of us have pretty busy lives and all taken together, I'd say we average about a book a week. You had plenty of time, you put it off and now you are going to have what I call "a life lesson". Get off the computer and get...
Most auto part stores and some book stores carry books for most vehicles on the market. Hubby and I always get one every time we buy a vehicle. They are either Chilton's or Haynes and will cover one or two models for a few production years in one book. They have a maintainance schedule section...
Yeah, but some people have themselves on this very forum said that they feel that they have to finish every book they start, even if they absolutely hate it. That is the compulsion I was referring to. Me, if I get bored with a book, or decide it is crap, I put it down and pick up the next one...

A Brief History of Science- Thomas Crump
A Good Yarn- Debbie Macomber
Scientific Genius- Jim Glenn
Night of the Wolf- Alice Borchardt
Lifeguard- James Patterson & Andrew Gross
No Place Like Home- Mary Higgins Clark (may...
The current favorite for my boys ( 6 and 2 ) is Dinosaur Roar! by Paul and Henrietta Stickland. It has big, bright pictures of different kinds of dinosaurs. The text is simple, too. More than once, after bedtime, I've found both boys together in one bed, the older one reading it to the...
Probably. I'm afraid that I am not afflicted with the compulsion to finish every book I begin, therefore, I occasionally return books only half (or less) read.
I once found the neatest bookmark in a library book. It was a laminated strip of four old Soviet Union postage stamps. It was my favorite for years then I forgot it in a book I returned to the library and couldn't remember the book it was in. :(
