Man, I can't find this book anywhere, and I have been hunting for ages. I guess I'll have to give in and get it from Amazon. Maybe I can find a decent used one for a little $.
Well, lately, all of the non-fiction I have been reading has been about college, engineering and financial aid. I seriously doubt anyone would be interested in hearing about that. But I have some non-fic in my TBR pile that is actually interesting, and so, I'll post on those when I do read them.
Books that have made me cry...well, that could be quite a list, since I have a very soft heart. I'll give you a few of my favs.
Beth Gutcheon- More Than You Know
James Patterson- Sam's Letters to Jennifer
James Patterson- Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas
Sue Monk Kidd- The Secret Life of Bees...
He knows that, we know that, but its his favorite and he has to ask, even though he gets the same answer every year. I think maybe the next time I cook it, I'll make a double batch and freeze a bunch in individual serving sizes then when his birthday rolls around, hand him an icy...
Let me know how it turns out. Feel free to tweak it any way you choose. It is my oldest nephew's favorite dish and he requests it every year for his birthday. Unfortunately, its in mid-July, so Iinstead, I cook it for his "half-birthday" in mid-January.

I have been reading books about engineering, various careers in the various fields, about going back to school, and about financial aid. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to study once I go back. I know I still have a couple of...
Behavior and personality are two totally different things. Personality is who you are and behavior is what you do. I could be a very angry person inside- that is my personality, but that doesn't mean I get to beat my kids up. Behavior is something you can control, out of respect for other...
I managed to mop befoer the hair appointment yesterday, so today, I have a couple of errands to run and a ton of sewing to so, heaven help me. So I'm not gonna spend too much time on the forum today I'm not gonna spend too much time on the forum today I'm not gonna spend too much time on the...
A couple of my favorite biographies are autobiographies, actually. Jimmy Carter's An Hour Before Daylight details his early life in the rural segregated south. Also, Queen Noor's Leap of Faith was excellent. She is the only American woman to become a queen(of Jordan). It gave me some real...
My husband makes an excellent seafood gumbo. I rarely mix seafood with any other kind of meat, as all the others tend to overpower the taste of the seafood. For seafood gumbo, just substitute seafood for the meat. Easy. :D
The roux is your thickener. If you want the gumbo thicker, use more. You can make a bunch, use what you need, and store the lefover stuff in the fridge or freezer. I actually avoid tabasco, it tends to give a vinegarry flavor to stuff. And yes, it does feed a crowd! You will probably have...
I've been a bad housewife today. Spent too much time on TBF and no time mopping or folding laundry or sewing. And I have an appointment to get my hair cut in less than one hour. Anyone want to come over and mop for me while I'm gone?...anyone?...anyone?...*cricket chirps in far off corner*...
