Lol, I liked The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, actually. I thought his worst by a mile was Dreamcatcher....Jeeze. I love Stephen King though and have been buying his books for 20 years at least. Haven't read this one though...Lisey's Story. How is it?
Bridge to Terabithia was an excellent movie! I brought my 10 year old to see it, and we both loved it. Now she is reading the book and it is great also. Any comments?
Has anyone read the new controversial book about thw white house cover-ups written by Bob Woodward, called State of Denial? if so, what are your thoughts on that one?
I really liked the fictional book "Hollocaust", by Gerald Greene. It is told from two points of view; one of a Jewish concentration camp survivor, and one of an S.S. guard. An excellent read!
I am the mother of a 12 year old girl, and I was looking for some input about some books that would be educational, yet interesting for her. Any ideas???
After having both seen and read The Da Vinci Code by now, I would urge anyone who wants to see the movie, but hasn't yet, to read the book first. Not only does the book have more information-all books do-but it explains much more that doesn't even get touched on in the movie.
I love Stephen King and have read everything by him, to date except the new Dark Tower book, and Cycle of the Werewolf. The worst book that he wrote was Dreamcatcher. I thought this book never should have seen the light of day. There are a few short stories that I didn't like, but as far as...
I read Two of a Kind, by darcy O'Brien. It is a novel about the Hillside Stranglers activities, and their court proceedings. I found it very interesting. Just for the record, if people didn't like to read this kind of material, horror books would be obsolete.
My list for the Top 5 Fantasy or Science Fiction books are:
1. The Lord of the Rings Series, The Hobbit being the best.
2. The Dark Tower Series, By Stephen King
3. Watership Down
4. Animal Farm
5. The Harry Potter Series
King's Dark Tower Series
I just picked up the 6th book in Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, Song of Suzannah. Just wondering who has read this yet and is it as good as the other 5? Also wondering if The Dark Tower 7 is actually the last book in the series? Has King hinted around about...
What is your favourite Stephen King book? Then, on the other end of that, what is your favourite King movie? My favourite Stephen King Movie would have to be "The Green Mile", but my favourite Novel would be "The Dark Half".
