I usually add books that I read to my good reads, and use it to browse reviews. Sometimes I check the books on their top lists to see if I want to read any of em

Do You Think Books Turned Into Movies Do It Justice?

I think most books turned into movies aren't that great, but some are, and if I read the book and enjoyed it, I always want to see the movie at least once even if the movie is garbage:cool: Kumar: Forrest Gump the book was okay, but the movie is probably one of my favorite of all time. Can't...

    Brandon Sanderson

kelsier is my favorite character. I like his back story/attitude, it's pretty cool. I don't really like the nobleman as of now, but it seems like he is going to be big in book two, so what can you do? haha

    Brandon Sanderson

I just finished the first book of the mistborn series. I enjoyed it a lot, though as of now I still like the way of kings better. The magic system in mistborn is really cool for sure though. I liked the magic and fighting more and more as the book progressed. The book was really solid in my...

    Biggest Reader in the World

I was hoping to see a morbidly obese person reading a book. Maybe a book shelf next to them and one of those claws to get books off of it. I was very disappointed.

    Hard.

The hardest book I've ever read is Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. I don't think it gets much harder than that.

    Brandon Sanderson

I ordered all 3 mistborn books off amazon for 17 bucks. If you liked it better than way of kings I am sure I'll probably like it. I heard the way of kings series is supposed to be 10 books total, which will be pretty impressive if he can make them all good and 1200 pages each haha.

Judging a book by its Cover

The Dark Tower book 7 cover with a pink rose up front, then a field of roses leading up to the dark tower is probably my favorite book cover. I recreated it for an art class in college. But, I have always liked book covers where there is a figure looking into a landscape, back turned, etc...

How not to react to a bad review

Gave me a good chuckle, which was needed, because I forgot to lay puppy pads out at the normal spots, and my puppy took a huge dump where the pad should have been.

    Brandon Sanderson

I read The Way of Kings in about a week and I thought it was pretty awesome. The kind of fantasy I really enjoy and rarely find. Do you think that I would like the Mistborn series if I liked The Way of Kings a lot?

Brandon Sanderson: The Way of Kings

Taken from amazon: "Widely acclaimed for his work completing Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time saga, Brandon Sanderson now begins a grand cycle of his own, one every bit as ambitious and immersive. Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky...

    Recently Finished

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson It was really good. Probably the best magic system I've ever seen in a fantasy book. It was really creative but seemed like it would actually work, so that was cool. I think it had some good messages, and was just really good in general. 5/5

Did I start off with the wrong Stephen King?

I started stephen king with hearts of atlantis and honestly, I didn't really like it at all. I then bought the gunslinger and gave that a shot. Gunslinger wasn't great, but for some reason I bought book 2 of the dark tower series. Book two of the dark tower series was amazing, and so were all...

Do you ever struggle finishing a book?

Sometimes you just need to let go if the book isn't catching you. I think most books deserve 50-60 pages at least, if you still don't like it by then I wouldn't bother. It sucks when you are reading a book that isn't holding your interest, but another book is screaming at you to come read it. I...
