right to life - right to die

What if you kill that woman today and the next day someone finds some cure for her illness?? Man has invented medicines to some diseases which were called 'incurable' in those days. My reasoning is simple - we cant give life, we shouldnt take it away either. Look, its very easy for me to sit...

right to life - right to die

It would definitely be a big issue here in India. India still hasnt legalised euthanasia. I personally feel that even though the woman had probably said that she wants to die rather than live like this, one cannot just go ahead and kill her. If I had been in the woman's parents' or husband's...

Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas R. Hofstadter

Sure Maya, I will let you know what I think about it once I finish reading it. It will be a very long wait for you since I have heard that the book is too huge and its heavy reading. Eliza, the person who recommended this book to me has read this book some n number of times and still feels...

Do you seek out or pay attention to book news?

No I dont follow books news. I read the weekly review that appears in my local newspaper and if some book interests me, I make a note of it. Mostly, I rely on word of mouth. I have friends who know about my tastes, they recommend some book which they think I might like and I read it. Thats about it.

Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code

Whether this book is good or bad, whether the details given in the book are correct or not, one thing is for sure -- the book is certainly popular! The fact that this thread has 240 replies and 8600+ views is proof enough for that!

    Deviant Behaviour

Got to learn a lesson or two from them! Whenver someone gets very close to me , I feel very very uncomfortable. I generally dont ask the person to back off. I move away at the very next oppportunity. I will try that next time!
