    your favorite Restaurant

There is a restaurant here called 'Bay Leaf'. Contrary to its name, its as un-Indian as a restaurant can be. We (as in me and my significant other) love to go there because of the ambience. Its a very quiet place. The lights are dim, soft music playing in the background, candles on the...

Why is it so bloody hard ..

I don't think any of the older movies will be available in Europe. You can try 'Munnabhai MBBS'! It was released recently and you might get it there. But, watching the same movie with English subtitles is nowhere near to watching it in local Hindi! There is one movie called 'Pushpak'...

    Blogging and Privacy

My blogs are meant for myself, but I don't mind people reading them. I don't go out and give the link to my page to all the people I know, but I don't want to keep it private either. And for those things that I really want to keep to myself, I have the diary :) IMO, _most_ of the people...

    Changing avatars

I am not saying there is anything wrong with changing one's avatar. All I am saying is it confuses _me_. I agree avatars can be changed just like one changes clothes. But since this business is online and I don't know any of you personally, the basic thing that I associate with each person...

    Changing avatars

No need to be sorry, Ice. As I said earlier I am not accusing anyone. I just said that I am confused. :( Sorry if this sounds like accusing you. :(

    Changing avatars

I didn't start this topic to stop people from changing avatars! I just wanted to vent out that I am utterly confused as to who is who when avatars get changed. People wanting to change avatars is ok. But, it confuses the hell out of me! You need not go back to the doggie...

    Changing avatars

I use avatar to relate to people. I find it really hard to remember who is who if people change avatars. I mean Martin has to be the never-stopping green man, I can't just imagine him as something else. I took so long to register that mehastings changed avatar!! I was wondering where is...

    Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake

I agree, jay. Some books are written keeping in mind that they will be (should be) made into movies! A quickie... I found a short story by Gogol named 'The Cloak'. It has a character by name Akaky Akakiyevich. Is this story same as 'The Overcoat'? If yes, good for me! If not, well - I...

    Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake

Look at me! I started this thread and still continued to discuss in the 'just finished' thread. Its what you discuss that matters - not where. I know, jay. The movie is going to be a bore. I am not even planning to watch it. Somehow, I could never appreciate any movie that was...
