A couple was invited to a swanky masked Halloween Party. She got a
terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone.
He being a devoted husband protested, but she argued and said she was
going to take some aspirin and go to bed, and there was no need of
his good time being...
I guess I wasn't surprised to see her new book out. I new she wasn't doing the vampire thing anymore, which dissappointed me, but how much farther could she have gone with it anyway?
She's always been open with her beliefs and I don't think she's got anything to lose.
I think that some of Laymons stuff is good. I read Darkness, Tell Us which I thought was excellent and I've also read The Traveling Vampire Show. But I've found with almost all authors, you can't like every single piece of writing they publish. I also try not to become too over critical...
I keep a notebook with all the books I own, whether it be ones I've read and kept or ones waiting to be read. I also keep track of the date of the books I've read, just for the heck of it. Sometimes I wonder how long ago I've read something.
That's a bummer about Blood Games, I haven't gotten to that one yet. Now it will probably go towards the back of one of my book piles.
I'm really getting into Darkness, Tell Us. It's got me held in suspense.
I just finished Swan Song, by Robert McCammon. I loved everything about this book. I liked the story with all its twists and turns, how you got to know each character so well, and it had a great ending too, that didn't disappoint. I never knew I'd have compassion for an evil character, that's...
Hmm, I hadn't yet planned on what to read for October. It's coming quick though. I've heard alot of Palindrome Hannah, so I might see of I can get a copy. I really good scary one would be cool, but sometimes I feel that it's hard to find one. The one I'm reading so far is good, but not scary...
Hi Steph :) I really enjoy reading Dean Koontz's writings. I haven't read The Taking yet, but have read many others. I like his old stuff and his newer work also. One that particularly sticks out in my mind is The Face and also Lightning. Out of all his books I've read so far, I think...
So far the only one I've read is The Thief of Always, which I enjoyed very much. I have a few of his others I've collected here and there, just haven't read them yet.
Hmm, what genre do I secretly enjoy that I keep secret?? I'd have to say I'm not afraid to admit I enjoy horror, but don't tell alot of people that every now and then, I like to read a cheesy romance :p
That Exorcism of Emily Rose looks unbelievably freaky!! I want to see it this weekend. I also can't wait till Corpse Bride by Tim Burton comes out, but it's not till the end of September. It kind of looks like another Nighmare Before Christmas type movie :D
That's cool, it's on my to read list!! One that scared me that I've seen mentioned is Amityville Horror and also Pet Semetary. Those were both a long time ago though. It's been ages since I've read a book that's totally freaked me out.
