    What's a schnickelfritz?

I found two links saying that it's a term of endearment meaning "you little rascal." One and two. Apparently it's no longer in use.

    Which episode was it in?

    Where were you on 9-11?

I was in the car driving to university. For some reason, I stopped the audio book I was listening to and listened to the radio. I tuned in after the first building was hit. That day at school was crazy. Some teachers had been to school so early they didn't know about it, and held class...

    Justified hatred of Gryffindor

I'm a ravenclaw myself. I think everyone has enough justification to dislike gryffindor. Nobody else seems to get a chance.. Say, lady.c, is that sign still on the door? ;)

    The Proper Way to Read?

Hmm. For me, I just read as comes naturally, with no thought as to what method is best. I don't like the idea of following along with my finger, since that would be too distracting. The only think I am picky about is that I have very bright light, such as a couple of lamps with flourescent bulbs.

what are some good open ended questions?

My one wish is to never be asked that question. How about, "Where would you prefer to be shot (if you had to be)?" I generally find people have to think for a moment. ;) Um, or, in a non-sarcastic vein (maybe. I know no other way of life), you ask the question you always say to...

    Please, don't kill me.

Try downloading Open Office. It's free, open source, and will read MSWord files (and save to that file format too). Then you can blissfully "hack away" again:)

    Stupid Music Videos

I heard this song on the radio today. I kept getting flashbacks of those crazy hats. Stupid, but fabulous. It's called Here it Goes Again (sorry, the link I posted before wasn't pointing to the original youtube video. This one does.)

    Randomness! Yay!

Oh..poor lady.cordelia. I had food poisoning during a 24 hour take home final once. Pure misery. I hope you are feeling better! I'm guessing that 6 pounds was water weight..have you got it back? My friend has poison oak AND mono, and she can't sleep because the poison oak itches too much...

Whoa. That's like, "Emoticon: The Next Generation"

    Why is it?

I didn't go to sleep until 5:30 am (this morning). Blasted books, curse the day.

Susanna Clarke: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

I've been working on this book for a couple weeks now. I keep getting distracted by bigger and better things. I need to lock myself in a room with this book. I have enjoyed what I've read so far.

    Guess The Author (Images)

True. I haven't recognized, let alone heard of most of them. But I am wondering why Stewart's photos are always tinted.

    Lord Byron

I know they are at least available online... Childe Harold and Don Juan. A woman should never be seen eating or drinking, unless it be lobster salad and Champagne, the only true feminine & becoming viands. ~Lord Byron

    Short - short story

Um..this link about the radio show episode was included as well (on the ripped off site we both (but perhaps..uncannily..only myself?) went to): http://ottolejeune.com/index.php/downloads/005_knock/

    Short - short story

Hey, you got that off the same site I ripped mine off from :) Now I must reply with: "That's quite similar to an episode in a classic SF radio anthology series. "Knock" by F. Brown."

John Berendt: Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil

I enjoyed the character development too. I initially thought the book was very dull since there wasn't much of a story, but it wasn't meant to be a murder thriller, and once I got over my initial expectation I enjoyed it much more. I've never been to Savannah. I can see why someone who had...
