First two I own and I read Heart Shaped Box and enjoyed it. Most of the top 15 look good and the majority are available from my library.
I highly recommend Clive Barker for horror.
He has a series of short stories called "Books Of Blood" which have been printed in Volumes 1-3 and Volumes 4-6.
He also wrote a novella called "Hellbound Heart" which was made into the movie "Hellraiser".

I've gotten serious this year and have a list of the books that I have read and also made a TBR List.
The only rules I have with my TBR list is that the book is less than 600 pages (due to my slow reading pace, anything larger seems too daunting) and that it is available at my local library...
My library has "The Heart Of The Matter", "The Age Of Innocence" and "The Portrait Of A Lady". Prefer one of the first two but will also see what other people put up...
I purchased this novel in 2006 after it had been perennially placed on a Top 100 list from a national bookshop. It lived on my bookshelf and despite calling to me was never picked up. During that period, many colleagues read this book and gave it mixed reviews.
