I don't like her. All her books, the ones I've read anyway, are the same. A Chinese woman married to an American man finds out her mother had a secret life, blah blah blah. It was cute and touching in the first book I've read, but the others seemed to go the same way.
I couldn't finish Twilight. I found it to be such a typical romantic novel that just happened to have vampires in it that it made me snore. The main character was sterotyped by being the girl who gets into trouble and having her vampire love interest save her all the time, the typical love...
I used to keep Barnes and Noble in buisness about two years ago, now I"m a Borders and used bookstore supporter. I hear B&N is going out of buisness since I stopped shopping there. :D
Her books are good, light reading and at most times very funny. I however felt like murdering the main character after the second book because she is just so airheaded and finds herself in teh same position she was in in the previous book. You'd think she'd learn a lesson.
It would take up too much space to type out all the books I have that I haven't read. I'll just say I have so many on the list that some of them had to just be given away because they were on the shelf for years and will never be read.
Unfortunatly there are people like him in the world almost everywhere you turn. I think he portrays the typical "Bad cop" steriotype. He was trying to get information out of him and by scaring him he thought he could get answers faster. To me he was like every other 'bad cop' in every movie and...
Scary Stories scard the sh*t out of me when I was little. I was horrified to look at the pictures. I have the collection I got a year ago (read it all last halloween) and too bad my sister is making us giving it away because of so little shelf space. But I know I won't be reading it again for...
I used to get scared all the time by movies when I was younger, now I just laugh at them.
I think the one movie that scared me senseless as an older person to the point where I couldn't sleep at night was Jeepers Creepers. I was fine through the entire movie but the ending got to me.
Funny. This was one of the first few books I read that got me back into reading after a three year dry spell. I can't say I enjoyed it because the story was gruesome and horrible, but it was well written and made you feel so many different emotions. In a sense, yes the book was good, but I felt...
This is what I hate. When authors go and ruin the plot lines or characters like that. If she was intending for it to be a porn series, then she should have started it out that way. But don't get people worked up on it, egar for the next novels to come out, just to find out it's full of porn...
Abarat Days of Magic Nights of war-Clive Barker
The book of spirits-James Reese
I'm the vampire, that's why-Michele Bardsley
The Black Dahlia-James Ellroy
I've only read "My sister's keeper" and it was very upsetting, but in a good way. Since she didn't intend for the story to be 'happy'. I think I almost cried at the end.
I think I read the first three or four...after the second book she gets a bit...meh. The books are fast paced but it seems like the author just wants to build up a plot to either have Antia in an 'awkward' position or build it up to have a sex scene. And in later books I hear all they do is have...
I just got Dolores Claiborne and Insomnia. Can someone tell me if they're any good? I only got them because they were a dollar each and I hadn't read them yet.
There were a few classic novels I couldn't get through but one I really remember giving up on was "Oliver Twist" It just dragged and dragged.
Emme by Jane Austen was another one I couldn't finish. It was my first and probably last book by this author. Though everyone keeps telling me to read...
