I agree 100%. Some authors can put out two books a year and still have those books bet great, but it eventually leads to their writing dwindling until the flame finally goes out and they just write to get a paycheck.
The libraries where I live aren't having anymore booksales. They had one this week (which I walked away from with litterally five bags full of books) but they warned us that they weren't going to do it again. Talk about horrible things to hear.
Sadly the same thing happened to me.
I LOVED the first movie as a little girl (really hated the second one) and I had no idea it was book until a few years ago. I've only read it once and lent it to my friends daughter and have never seen it again, I want to read it again so badly. It's such...
Just finished, here's what I have to say:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON IT!
If it is possible to hate someone through their writing, this would be it. The man marketed this book as non-fiction at first. And everyone believed the babble he wrote. He was too cocky, made himself into the loveable...
I could not agree more. I am in love with this man.
I also adore:
Christopher Walken
John Voight
Mike Vogel
Kate Beckinsale
Keira Knightley
Jessica Biel
Mandy Moore
Rosario Dawson
Kate Winslet
Judi Dench
I adore this series. It's so much fun to read and the author really knows what she's doing! The first book I was unable to put down. I hear she is coming out with a new one this year.
I am a bit late on this (feels like I'm the only who hasn't read the book so far) but I just started reading it. I'm only fifty pages into it and already ready to give up. I hate the style of writing, it gets a bit confusing at times. And on top of it, I just don't find it interesting.
It was very uneasy for me to read this book. I get quesy (sp?) very easily so when I read the disgusting, hurtful, nasty things the mother did to this boy I couldn't go on. But I finished it anyway just to see the ending and even that made me cry.
It is a very moving book and I still cannot...
Length doesn't matter to me. It's content. I could read a really short novel but if the author makes me feel for the characters and makes me sad when the novel ends, then it's a great accomplishment. But I notice that with long novels the characters go more into depth and you delve into their...
The Library I used to go let me do that all the time. But then again, back then it wasn't automated like it is today. You just signed your name and if no one showed up after you, you got to stay on until someone did.
Once I came in at 9 am and no one else showed up to use it until 1 pm. That...
If you have a job, you can get a computer for really cheap nowadays. It might not be exactly what you want, but it'll get you online. And internet access isn't even that much. Well speaking dialup-wise. Cable is pretty pricey, but reliable and you're always connected unless they are doing work...
