I have a copy of the book but from the reviews I don't know if it's worth reading. I want to read it just to clear some space in my room though. Have to finish all my library books first.
You could try The Sweet Trade By Elizabeth Garret. It's a novel about Anne Bonny and Mary Read, the worlds only female pirates.
There is also a young adult fiction called "Pirates!" by Celia Reese which is a stunning, fast paced and exciting read. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
Oh god I hate it when that happens!
Granted it's only happend to me twice in my life. The second time was fairly recently. Luckily it was a book borrowed from the library so I didn't have money problems only them looking at me like 'I" was the who ripped the pages out since it...
Beloved by Toni Morrison
I felt horribly confused throughout this entire novel. Toni Morrison, the author, makes it almost impossible to understand what’s going on. (Or atleast I felt so) When I read this book I got lost so many times. Sometimes you have to read things over and over again. I...
That's a really hard choice for me. I Can stay off the computer for hours on end if I know it's working. Cause lately my computer has been having major problems and sometimes won't work at all. But when I know it's ok, I can stay off it for nearly the entire day and just read....I'm weird.
You're like my friend then, he reads that book atleast five times a year from the introduction to the end.
I tried reading P&P but I just couldn't get through the first ten pages, every woman I know was like "Are you insane? She's the best author around!" I don't think she's the...
Just about fourty pages. It's a little confusing at times and once or twice I had to go back and read the page over to fully understand it (I'm dyslexic, cut me some slack! Lol) but other than that I like it. No creepy feelings here! :)
Yet. :D
Read Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich. That'll send you down like a ton of bricks. ;)
Anyways, I finished Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was a great book, it had that air of magic in it that I think all childrens books should have.
Witch Season-Summer by Jeff Mariotte
The amazing Maurice and his educated rodents by Terry Prachett
Ghost Boy by Iain Lawrence
Girl with a pearl earring by Tracy Chevalier
Hawkes Harbor by S.E. Hinton (Her new book!)
Night Swimming by Robin Schwarz
Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maquire
I've read the second book and it was decent. I really don't see the big deal about these books, they aren't bad, but I don't find them all that exciting either.
Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Not his best work, I'm still wondering if I like it or not. A lot of parts were confusing and boring to read, but there were some parts where I found myself unable to put down the book. Unlike his other works, I wasn't interested in the characters. I didn't feel for...
