Well, since my last post in October, my most recent book purchase was today. I ordered "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" by Shirley Jackson.
I couldn't believe it was available at Walmart's website, so I can have it delivered to my local store.
Happy reading in 2017!
You know the kind of challenge where you aim to read a book from say 10 - 12 different categories, over the course of a summer or within a year. Categories, like these:
Read one historical fiction.
Read a book that takes place in a location you'd like to visit.
Read a book with a cat on the...
Hi, I'm getting ready to make this my 1st book of 2017. It's not the typical book that I'm drawn to, but it seems just kooky and weird enough to make me want to read it.

Thanks, Happy reading in the New Year!
My most recent book purchase was "The Hopefuls" by Jennifer Close. I'm planning to start reading it tonight, before bed.

The book is "The Secret Rooms: A True Story of a Haunted Castle, a Plotting Duchess...
I remember reading the Bobbsey Twins, Dr. Seuss books, where the red fern grows, the secret garden, encyclopedia brown, Beezus and Ramona.
After a few years, I read and totally loved the Hardy Boys mysteries.
I'm in a hospital room recovering from a simple operation. Mother comes to visit from out-of-state, and I long for her to open up to me emotionally, but our conversations are rather awkward.
What do you know - I just found a 4th book to add to the list.
Rumspringa: To be or not to be Amish, by Tom Shachtman.
I think I'd better stop searching books now and get busy reading, lol. Greg
