Bed, blankets, pillows, sleep. More of my favorite things in life. It's not unusual for me to have problems falling asleep. I've tried prescriptions from the doctor but don't like them because they leave me feeling drowsy the next day. I prefer the natural route: valerian root, tea, etc...

Indeed, why get involved? Books provide a much needed escape from reality. I would rather read than get involved or know what is going on around me. In school, getting involved would have meant socializing with the small-minded imbeciles who only care about clothes, makeup, guys, and whatever...

I don't care what people say, I'm not weird, I'm unique. I found mine whilst I was one day browsing through my Thesaurus, and I think it describes me well. "A rare or unique person or thing."

I enjoyed your description of the setting: the boats, the water, the ropes, the lamppost, the atmosphere, her drug-induced mind, etc.

The book that's had the most impact on my life would have to be Star Wars. After reading it I became obsessed with Star Wars. It may not be a deep philosophical work, but my life revolved around it.
